I have sat here for a few hours wondering what to write ......about my Xena.
the wicked girl she could be, she far proved her self as excellent RR in the
show ring so I will go on about that.

From the start I new she was special ..let's face it she was born in the
back of my car!
One of her favourite games was to rush at the gate (teeth nashing) stop
about 3 feet from the gate (to late already terrified the poor person on the
other side of the gate) turn around with a big smile on her face and tail
wagging (who said RR's cant be expressive).

There was only a hand full of time's she did not do the smile and when that
happened she would criss cross in front of me not saying a word.....good dog

Yes she was top dog for many years even until mid November 2008 but then
that all changed.

Her last great great deed was pass away peacefully on her own.

Xena you will be greatly missed and NEVER replaced....you can now go and run
with Axle over rainbow bridge.

Well what can we say about Xena, she is a standard bitch of excellent type and movement and is rarely off the pegs at Specialty and All Breeds Shows with well over 2500 CC points and over 200. In Group and In Show awards. Some of the highlights of her career are listed below.

Xena is already proving her worth as an producer of quality babes, with two litters at CC level, 5 have already attained here titles ( view Xena's Champion Progeny )and another 1 of these are already well on the way to their title. So far they have won awards a high as Multi Best In Show (Specialty) and Best In Show (Hound) and Runner Up to Best In Show (All Breeds), multi Best In Group (Group 1), multi Age In Show, multi Age In Group, not bad considering her oldest litter is just 14 months old at the time of these wins. Now their wins include a Royal BOB!

Xena's other awards include Multi Best In Show, R/U Best In Show (all breeds), Multi R/U Best In Show (Specialty). Hound of The Year 2000 (HCV), holder of the Mt Gambier Border Shield and the best individual trophy 2000, Runner Up Hound of The Year 2003 (HCV)

Xena is the only Female Rhodesian Ridgeback to be awarded HOUND OF THE YEAR in the HISTORY of the breed in Victoria and only the 2nd Bitch In AUSTRALIA (the other being her aunt) Nation Wide.
